2012 Ryder Cup—Two Most Memorable Moments

October 1, 2012

No doubt, a plethora of memorable moments are connected with the 2012 Ryder Cup. But beyond the spirit of Seve Ballesteros urging the European team to victory, besides the unbelievable collapse of the American team, for millions of amateur golfers throughout the world—two things stand out……that’s because we’ve all done them.

LATE FOR A TEE TIME— God bless Roy McIlroy! Getting to the course parking lot 20 minutes before tee time, no warm up to speak of, and jumping on the tee just in time. That’s my kind of guy. Furthermore, he’s proof. You can still win and be late for a tee time. Move over Lombardi Time, McIIlroy Time has taken your place.

SHANK — Webb Simpson’s shank makes us all realize it can happen to anyone, even the greatest golfers on earth. So, next time you shank, think of Webb and don’t feel so bad. There’s no way you can feel worse than he must have felt shanking an iron-shot on the final day of the Ryder Cup when all matches were crucial in determining victory for the team.

HOW OFTEN TO YOU SHOW UP 20 MINUTES OR LESS BEFORE YOUR ACTUAL TEE OFF TIME?

DO YOU BELIEVE IN WARMING UP BEFORE EVERY ROUND OF GOLF?

HOW MANY TIMES HAVE YOU SHANKED A SHOT IN YOUR ENTIRE YEARS OF PLAYING GOLF?
ABOUT HOW MANY TIMES; NO NEED TO BE EXACT.

IS SHANKING THE MOST EMBARRASSING THING YOU’VE EVER DONE PLAYING GOLF?

WHAT ARE ONE OR TWO OF THE MOST EMBARRASSING THINGS YOU’VE EVER DONE PLAYING GOLF?
